Miranda McLean has been named as the Chief Marketing Officer of Ecommpay, a prominent worldwide payment service provider and direct bank card acquirer in the UK and Europe.

In addition to supporting the company's ongoing investment in innovation and its unique merchant proposition, the new recruit will increase the participation of women in senior leadership positions throughout the organization.

The recruitment of Miranda highlights Ecommpay's dedication to expanding its footprint in the US, Latin America, and Asia while also strengthening its position in the UK and Europe. Ecommpay's patented full stack payments platform is designed to help e-commerce, travel, and FinTech companies achieve their objectives of lowering time-to-market and time-to-revenue and providing the best possible payment experiences for their customers. Global card acquisition, BNPL, Open Banking, and Alternative Payment Methods are some of the solutions that offer quicker checkout procedures and award-winning fraud prevention.

Miranda's duties will include deciding on the marketing department's worldwide strategic direction. Miranda is one of the most well-known women in FinTech, having worked mostly in the financial services industry for more than 25 years in B2B marketing. She was named one of the Standout 45 on the Innovate Finance Women in FinTech Powerlist recently. This group of women, chosen from among the 250+ on the Powerlist, represents people who, in addition to their regular responsibilities, are having a remarkable, long-lasting impact on the FinTech industry.

Miranda comes to Ecommpay from Banking Circle, where she was a founding team member and developed the company's logo and marketing plan. She has shaped and led marketing strategy and operations, overseeing multi-million pound budgets, in senior leadership roles at Thomson Financial, Reuters, and Standard & Poor's.

Beyond her own professional endeavors, Miranda is a member of the Executive Board of the European Women Payments Network (EWPN), an organization dedicated to promoting the abilities and knowledge of female professionals in the FinTech and Payments industries. She is a member of the FinTech B2B Marketing Community Advisory Board as well.

"The customer is at the core of Ecommpay's raison d'être," stated Miranda McLean, the company's chief marketing officer. What sets Ecommpay apart from its rivals is its ability to provide Merchants with best-in-class, customized solutions while attending to their unique needs. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, and the company's agile, flexible proprietary open payments technology, along with its consulting approach, is exclusive and created with a profound awareness of merchant needs. It's an exciting time to join because the company has big intentions to offer its solutions to retailers all over the world.

"Having a Chief Marketing Officer who understands global trends, merchant and consumer behaviors, and emerging technologies gives Ecommpay a strong competitive edge," said Moshe Winegarten, Chief Revenue Officer at Ecommpay, regarding the appointment. "We recognize that merchants have a choice of potential payment providers in a competitive payments landscape." The company's position and reputation in the market are anticipated to shift significantly by 2024, and Miranda will be crucial in spearheading this effort.
