With a long-standing partner, B4B Payments, Thredd, a top contemporary payments processor serving customers worldwide, has officially entered the US debit and prepaid card issuing industry.

This calculated step demonstrates Thredd's dedication to assisting its clients in their efforts to expand into important international markets.

In an effort to strengthen their collaboration, B4B, a US-based provider of banking-as-a-service (BaaS), is currently moving its card payment processing to Thredd from the UK and Europe. Thredd will be used by B4B to process dual-branded Visa and STAR Network cards, guaranteeing adherence to the nation's strict debit processing laws.

By first assisting clients and prospects who want to expand their business domestically, Thredd intends to keep growing its clientele in the United States. Debit and prepaid card processing for clients providing Visa as well as any US-based PIN network, such as STAR, NYCE, Pulse, Accel, Maestro, Interlink, Plus, and Cirrus, are among Thredd's U.S. capabilities.

Thredd's Chief Executive Officer, Jim McCarthy, said:

"Thredd's U.S. expansion is a significant step forward as it facilitates our growth in this important payments market while also supporting our clients' expansion goals." It is particularly noteworthy that they made this initial step to expand their U.S. business by closely collaborating with a reliable customer like B4B Payments.

Thredd, a cutting-edge and flexible payment processor, is ideally positioned to offer businesses a reliable substitute for established American providers, catering to a wide range of applications ranging from B2B payments to digital banking.

The CEO of B4B Payments USA, Kieran Draper, expressed excitement about expanding the company's established alliance with Thredd into the lucrative U.S. market from its position in the EU and the UK.

Draper said, "B4B Payments views partnering with Thredd in the U.S. as strategically significant because it gives us a single platform and processor for all programs in Europe, the UK, and the U.S." "This offers our international clients a distinctive and competitive solution that enables them to onboard quickly and scale with confidence."

Leading Thredd's U.S. debut is Hyung Choi, who joined the firm to oversee its global expansion strategies. With his two decades of industry expertise at Visa and Wells Fargo, Hyung offers to Thredd a wealth of knowledge on U.S. payments.Hyung joins a group of Thredd executives who have a wealth of experience with payments in the United States: Edwin Poot, the Global Chief Technology Officer, who began in March; Jim McCarthy, the Chief Executive Officer; Ava Kelly, the Chief Product Officer; Kevin Fox, the Chief Revenue Officer; and Betsy Samuel, the Chief Marketing Officer.

Thredd's prior successful geographic growth into the APAC region—where it currently supports expanding card programs in Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, and the Philippines—comes before its move to the United States.
