According to sources cited by Reuters, Fiserv and Amadeus have emerged as the leading candidates, and their final bids are expected to be presented in the upcoming weeks.
CEO of Shift4 Jared Isaacman informed shareholders in November that the business was looking into "strategic opportunities and alternatives". Global Payments has been mentioned as a potential suitor earlier.
Shift4 handles more than 200,000 retailers, including hotels and restaurants, and handles over $200 billion in transactions annually.
