Wise Platform and Nubank collaborate to power global accounts

One of the biggest financial institutions in Brazil, Nubank, has partnered with Wise Platform, Wise's infrastructure offering for banks, financial institutions, and businesses worldwide, to power their international debit card and global account.

The collaboration is yet another significant milestone for Wise Platform, which now has over 85 partners worldwide as it continues to draw in big international institutions and companies. Notable partners include Bank Mandiri, Shinhan Bank, IndusInd, BPCE, Monzo, and Google Pay.

In South America, Nubank serves about 90 million customers, of which more than 85 million reside in Brazil. Brazil's second-biggest bank overall and its biggest digital bank is Nubank.

When it first starts, this alliance will power:

- The new worldwide debit cards and global account offered by Nubank to its "Ultravioleta" (premium tier) clients
  The card enables users to carry USD and EUR and make purchases in 200 countries and territories worldwide using local currency.

- Within 15 months of its debut in Brazil, Wise has issued over a million Wise cards, marking another significant milestone in the company's expansion throughout    the continent.
