Renowned investors have expressed interest in the startup, which was founded by Yatharth Gupta and emerged from Madrona Venture Labs.

Madrona Ventures and Vine Ventures jointly led this round of fundraising, with Soma Capital and angel investors Bob Muglia, JG Chriapurath, and Shireesh Thota also participating. Arnab Bose, the chief product officer of Workforce Identity Cloud by Okta, and Ali Ghodsi, the creator and CEO of Databricks, have joined the Codified Advisory Board, a move that highlights the startup's potential.

Codified is leading the way in tackling data governance, one of the most important problems of the digital age. Businesses are facing challenges related to data security and privacy as a result of the emergence of Generative AI, but they are also becoming more dependent on their vital data for insights and product development.

The process of traditional data governance has been laborious, manual, and frequently non-compliant. By creating an AI-powered Data Governance platform that enables businesses to create and execute data governance policies using natural language, automate access provisioning, and guarantee complete visibility into data access rights, Codified seeks to completely transform this market.

A number of important development locations are designated to receive the recently obtained money. With this financing, Codified hopes to grow its workforce, expedite the creation of new products, and introduce its ground-breaking solution to the market. The business is getting ready for a product preview for a small group of clients in 2024 and has already begun collaborating with design partners.

The investment industry has embraced Codified's approach to data governance in addition to the financial benefit. "Almost all businesses agree that data is a valuable asset, but controlling access to this constantly expanding and crucial resource depends on manual procedures that are laborious, prone to mistakes, and take a long time to review.

S. Somasegar, managing director of Madrona, said, "Codified is built for any company wrestling with data governance solutions, offering just-in-time access and protection in alignment with company policies." Yatharth Gupta said, "We are thrilled to launch Codified and pioneer the first-of-its-kind policy-driven Data Governance solution," as he considered the development and goals of the company. It's time for this to stop: customers are wasting months installing data governance systems. Customers can greatly improve their security posture and save time and money by using Codified. Security doesn't have to be difficult to use and difficult to install. We are reducing the difficulty involved in safeguarding data access by completely rethinking the strategy.
